In July 2010, I had the privilege of visiting OCA (after nearly 20 years away), and stopped in to see if anyone from my high school days stilled worked there. In reflection of her lifelong passion and skills, Mrs. Lloyd is still at OCA and currently functions as the school's elementary principal. We had the opportunity to meet and share about life's events over the past 20 years. It was great to know that she is still making a positive impact in student's lives today.
In recognition of her many years of service and to her impact on my life, I would like to dedicate this post to her and to convey my sincerest thanks for listening, sharing, and caring. You did make a different in my life, and you continue to do so today in the lives of students at OCA. Keep up the service, and always know that you are remembered.

Mike: I just read your post this morning only because your Mom told me about it yesterday! Had no idea! God bless ya' son! You are one of a kind and whether you realize it or not YOU, had an impact on my life as well. Not many young men go on and re-produce what was once taught by those allowed by God to be a part of it. You did! To God we all take advantage of every moment of every day.....'cause life as it is known here on earth...ends...BUT....we step into glory as your Dad did and see the other side of the madness of it all. I chuckle as I write that, because I love the madness.. the challenges...that are put before me each day. It just gives God the opportunity to do what we cannot do!!! Keep on keeping on. Keep on blogging...
ReplyDeleteCheck out Sheri's blog if you get a minute. "My God is...." Sheri Edwards. She and I wrote every week of what God showed us that week about Himself. She has taken those writings now, and is teaching them to her women in Brazil. Sheri is a fireball....gave me grief at times, but God kept directing her and I never gave up on her. Never, never give up on your kids even when they give up on you!
Love ya, Buddy
